DALLAS – Greyhound today announced the further expansion of its premium Greyhound Express™ service in the Northeast by adding a new route between Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. beginning on May 17. With at least five daily round trips, Express fares start as low as $1, and tickets now are on sale at www.mygreyhoundexpress.com. This new route is the latest addition to the rapidly expanding Express service Greyhound operates in the Northeast between New York and Baltimore, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

“We only launched Express in the Northeast just last week and our schedules already are selling out. We’re excited by the overwhelming response from existing and new customers since we began service, and we believe it is driven by our commitment to provide a higher level of service, safety and premium offerings, not just a low fare,” said Dave Leach, president and CEO, Greyhound. “Customers don’t just want to quickly get from Point A to Point B at a low price. They want a guaranteed seat, a place to wait for their schedule in comfort, and have access to amenities that make their trip more productive and relaxing.”

Greyhound Express offers customers onboard amenities such as free Wi-Fi, leather seats, extra legroom and power outlets. The new, environmentally friendly buses provide non-stop, direct service with a guaranteed seat for every customer. Greyhound Express operates from dedicated gates and a private waiting area, where a guest services specialist provides an extra level of service for customers.

Greyhound Express launched in December 2010 and currently serves New York; Philadelphia; Boston; Washington, D.C.; Baltimore; Chicago; Milwaukee; Madison, Wis.; Minneapolis; Indianapolis; Lafayette, Ind.; Cincinnati; Champaign, Ill; and St. Louis.
