The largest city in Scotland is Glasgow, and in the last 20-30 years, everything has radically changed in this city.

The largest city in Scotland is not the capital, strangely enough, but Glasgow. Previously, it was an inconspicuous industrial city, but in the last 20-30 years, everything has radically changed. Now Glasgow is the student capital of Scotland: a modern, with a young soul, but retained the charm of the Victorian era, where ordinary houses resemble castles. Walking in the old Glasgow is the best way to begin an acquaintance with this magnificent city.

In its cozy streets, it is easy to lose touch with time and dissolve in a leisurely conversation – you must agree, these are ideal conditions for međunarodno upoznavanje.

Sveučilište u Glasgowu

The ancient city completely immerses you in its atmosphere, and it begins to seem that you are in some fairy tale. Oh, here’s Hogwarts already! Although wait, this is the University of Glasgow – one of the most ancient universities in the UK.

Its history dates back more than 500 years, and the building of this educational institution looks like a real medieval castle. You can safely walk around the audience and halls of this place, and then walk to the Kelvingrove park which is located next to the campus.

If you and your girlfriend love the atmosphere of old educational institutions and books of Rowling – Glasgow University must be on the list of attractions that you should see.

Scottish Cuisine

Scottish cuisine is diverse and unusual. Many people heard about haggis – a national dish of mutton giblets, onions, and spices, cooked in a mutton stomach. Unusually, right?

Residents of Glasgow went further and decided to create their own kind of fast food – a deep-fried bar of “Mars”. “Mars” is lowered into flour and fried in hot oil until golden brown. Very peculiar. Will you try it?

If you do not know where to start a new acquaintance with a girl, the cafes and restaurants of Glasgow are perfect for this purpose. You can always pretend that you are a stunned and naive tourist who needs the help of a local beauty. Scots are very kind and sympathetic people, they will necessarily want to help and demonstrate the delights of the national cuisine. And if during the feast you treat a girl with one or two cocktails, consider that an excellent evening and a new acquaintance is already in your pocket.
